Hoot is an ensemble of three standalone collections, each one focussed on digital prints, weaving, and surface manipulation independently. Each of these three ranges, sees the Owl, the inspiration, from a unique perspective.

Hoot- Print Collection is for a quirky home decor line. In summer’s vibrant colours, the owl is playful, goofy and ridiculous.

Hoot- Woven Collection explores the muse from an intimate perspective, with its sombre textures and colour interaction. The hand-woven explorations largely explore the ikat techniques (resist dyed yarn). This collection is aimed to be for home furnishing textiles.

Exploring a subject with different perceptions really helps in finding new ways to clear designer’s blocks. This ensemble helped me understand various details about translating an idea from an inspiration to application, and how and when to focus on the big picture and when to see the microscopic details of any situation.
