The brutal beauty of buildings and demolition sites underpins a deconstructed design ethos. Scaffold Planks, Block work, and Architectural Salvages inspire artworks and designs.

The moods and colors of architecture ethos

A woven and surface manipulation collection of recycled yarn and fabrics, revolve around the themes of the very basic element and its deconstruction. Simple running embroidery stitches, symbolic to the elemental beam and column structure of any building, is applied in an unfinished, almost naïve sense, for the essence of deconstruction. Woven explorations play around with different perspectives of an architectural structure, represented as a grid, in the colours of tarnished bricks, peeled walls, revealed construction, weathered metal, and such.

Architecture Ethos- The Ensemble

The mood of these artworks and the concept as a whole is derived from the ideas of wabi sabi. Architecture Ethos is about imperfections- frayed edges and untidy stitches. As someone, personally wanting everything to make sense and connect, a collection so careless about any kind of immaculate finishing, has been the biggest challenge. Where do you draw the line from being imperfect in a beautiful way, to simply being ignorant?
